Frank Sings Frank - A Tribute to Frank Sinatra

Performs locally in and around the Hampton Road area, of Virginia and across the United States.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Huntington, NY, Frank Cubillo is the “voice” and “energy” behind “FRANK SINGS FRANK”, a unique Frank Sinatra Tribute singing/entertainment act that has been very popular in the Hampton Roads area of South-Eastern Virginia for more than a decade. This talented and passionate entertainer is perfect for weddings, anniversaries, private parties, restaurants, hotels, corporate events/fundraisers, military reunions, and retirement and assisted living communities. You’ll just love this guy’s energy and inter-active style of singing/entertainment. He is not a Sinatra “impersonator” but when you hear him sing in his own voice, you will swear you are listening to the Chairman of the Board himself!

Frank retired from the U.S. Marine Corps (as a full colonel) after serving over 37 years active duty in 2009. He’s been singing all his life and grew up highly influenced by the music of the 40’s,50’s and 60’s…Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Bobby Darin, Nat King Cole, and Ella Fitzgerald records were always playing in his home on Long Island. Frank is a self-taught Frank Sinatra aficionado, constantly studying and rehearsing Sinatra’s impressive musical body of work, and who has, over several decades, learned to sing (by heart) and perform over 385 of Sinatra’s hits.

Just Dance On's Review

There are tribute artists who sing Frank Sinatra… and then there’s Frank Sings Frank, who somehow manages to channel Ol’ Blue Eyes with such charm and ease that you start to wonder if time travel is less science fiction and more his side hustle. Performing out of Virginia Beach, VA, Frank brings a level of polish, personality, and pure joy to the stage that makes his show feel less like a tribute and more like a warm conversation with a legend.

From the moment he steps into the spotlight, Frank carries himself with the relaxed confidence of a man who knows exactly what he’s doing—and exactly how much fun he’s about to have doing it. His voice lands in that sweet spot between homage and originality: unmistakably Sinatra in tone and phrasing, yet still uniquely his own. It’s not imitation; it’s interpretation, delivered with respect, skill, and a wink that says, “Yeah, I know this is good.”

His setlist moves smoothly through the classics—Fly Me to the Moon, The Way You Look Tonight, My Way—each performed with the kind of vocal control and emotional nuance that reminds you why these songs have lasted generations. And just when you’re settling into the nostalgia, Frank slips in a joke, a story, or a perfectly timed eyebrow raise that brings the whole room into the moment. It’s classy, it’s clever, and it’s exactly the kind of entertainment that makes you forget you’re sitting in a theater and not a mid‑century supper club.

What truly sets Frank apart, though, is his connection with the audience. He doesn’t just perform to the crowd—he performs with them. Whether he’s crooning to a couple celebrating an anniversary, trading banter with someone in the front row, or tossing out a Sinatra fact you definitely didn’t know, he creates an atmosphere that feels personal, warm, and wonderfully alive.

And yes, full disclosure: Frank is a dear friend of ours and even stood as best man at my wedding. But trust me—if he weren’t the real deal, I’d be the first to tell him… probably right after the show, over a drink, with a friendly pat on the back. Instead, I’m here writing a review because he genuinely deserves it. His performance is polished, heartfelt, and delivered with a professionalism that would make Sinatra himself raise a glass.

Frank Sings Frank isn’t just a tribute act—it’s a celebration of timeless music, delivered by a performer who understands both the artistry and the joy behind it. If you ever have the chance to catch his show, don’t walk—swing your way there.
