Special dance shoes are not required. Comfortable dress shoes that you might wear to a club or wedding work well. Women should wear a comfortable heel (no higher than 2 inches) with an ankle strap and covered heel for support.

Please avoid flip‑flops or athletic shoes, as rubber soles restrict movement and can create a tripping hazard. Always change into clean shoes before class — no street shoes on the dance floor.

As you progress, you may find that dance‑specific shoes are helpful. We’re happy to guide you when you’re ready.

Not at all. You’re welcome to come on your own. We rotate partners during class, which helps you learn faster and meet new people.

Never. We have dancers of all ages and abilities. If you can walk, you can dance — and there’s always room to grow at any age.

It depends on your goals and commitment. Whether you want to prepare for a wedding, feel confident at a club, or train for DanceSport competitions, we’ll help you reach your goals. Most students feel more comfortable on the dance floor after their first course.

Children’s classes are recommended for ages 7 to 15.
Adult classes are ideal for ages 16 and up.

Absolutely. Our courses prepare you to feel confident asking anyone to dance at social events, clubs, or parties.

Dancing offers a wide range of physical, mental, and social benefits. It improves posture, flexibility, cardiovascular health, and overall fitness. Mentally, it strengthens memory, coordination, timing, and teamwork. Socially, it builds confidence, friendships, and a sense of community.

Many students find that dancing boosts their mood, reduces stress, and enhances overall well‑being.

Private lessons provide one‑on‑one instruction tailored to your goals. Some students use them to reinforce group class material, while others prepare for weddings, showcases, talent shows, or competitions.

How often you take private lessons depends on your goals. Your instructor will help you create a schedule that works best for you.

We recommend beginning with a first‑level dance course or a private lesson. This helps you learn basic movement, understand music, and discover which goals you’d like to pursue.

Prices vary depending on the type of lesson. Please contact us for our current pricing.

Open Practice is dedicated time for you to work on your steps and routines, either alone or with a partner. It’s not a formal lesson, but a teacher is available to answer questions. Music rotates through different styles to support all types of practice.
